it is time again to harvest onions and shallots. two summers ago, i wrote you should harvest onions on sunny days only, because they should  dry a bit before stocking them.

usually i pull them out and lay them on the bed to dry a bit in the sun. this year we had very warm and sunny days with intense thunderstorms. so i had to pull them all together, carry them into the shed before the rain arrived and lay them out in the sun again, before i could make brunches of onions to hang them on a dry and airy space.

now they are in the cellar and i hope the conditions are fine and we can store them for a while.
