lilac is the first color rave and fragrance nature offers in our garden in spring and i really love it! a hauntingly beauty. and to become a bit philosophic, beauties like this, can’t be preserved. everybody who already tried to take some lilac home, knows what i am talking about.

i found out, that there are some sorts of lilac wilting later than others and i heard that they will last longer in the flower vase if you smash the cut surface with a hammer. but whatever i tried out, the beauty was over after two days at the latest. so accept it and enjoy the lilac outside in the nature these days.
