it is time to harvest cherries! and it is the first year ever that we can harvest cherries. the last years we missed the cherries not because of the trees have been to young or to old to produce fruits or because of frosts during blossom, no, we missed it because the birds has been faster than us.

this year we decorates the cherry trees with little sheets of aluminum foil. looks ugly but works. those parts of the trees we flagged very carefully are loaded with cherries! and we harvested a lot of cherries. after filling our bellies, we will see what to do with the rest. i think i will cook some jam.
