bear´s garlic is one of the first fresh greens in spring. usually you can find it in the woods in moist habitats. the clou is, you have to know the place! but it also grows in parks, nevertheless pay attention to the dogs favorite pee places. in addition it is easily mistaken with the lily of the valley, which looks pretty identical, but is toxic. to be on the save side, you can plant or sow bear´s garlic even in your garden.

we planted some bear´s garlic plants, which my parents dug out at their secret growing place. we placed them in our garden, under some trees and bushes to imitate the original environment as good as possible, and it worked out just fine.
