even though it feels a little bit strange, as i am not really in the christmas mood yet. but it is dark and cold outside, so the christmas mood will come by itself.<\/p>\n<p>we baked the first cookies today and as they are really delicious i am curious if there will be some left\u00a0for christmas presents. but as they are not complicated at all, we might\u00a0bake them one more time. it is a simple dough, spiced up by some dried lavender.<\/p>\n<p>the recipe for the lavender cookies is out of a small austrian christmas cookie book we received for christmas last year: <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.servusmarktplatz.at\/ser\/das-kleine-keksbuch-SVSM112605-13.html\" target=\"_blank\">das kleine keksbuch<\/a><\/em>. as the dough was a little bit dry i added two tablespoons of water and i reduced the baking time to five minutes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">120 g butter<br \/>\n60 g sugar<br \/>\n180 g spelt flour<br \/>\n2 tbsp dried lavender<br \/>\n2 tbsp water<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">combine all the ingredients until it forms a compact ball. wrap it into cling foil and allow to rest in the fridge for halve an hour.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">preheat your oven to 190\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">roll out the dough on a well floured surface and cut out your cookies. place them on a baking tray, lined out with baking paper and bake for 5 minutes until they start to turn\u00a0golden.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">allow them to cool a bit before transferring them on a cooling rack.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">enjoy!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">*********************<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">120 g butter<br \/>\n60 g zucker<br \/>\n180 g dinkelmehl<br \/>\n2 el getrockneten lavender<br \/>\n2 el wasser<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">alle zutaten zu einem kompakten teig vermengen und zu einem ball formen. den teig in frischhaltefolie wickeln und eine halbe stunde im k\u00fchlschrank ruhen lassen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">den ofen auf 190\u00b0C vorheizen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">den teig auf einer gut bemehlten fl\u00e4che ausrollen und die kekse ausstechen. die kekse auf ein mit backpapier ausgelegtes backblech legen und f\u00fcnf minuten backen, bis sie beginnen golden zu werden.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">kurz ausk\u00fchlen lassen und dann auf ein kuchenbitter geben, bis sie ganz ausgek\u00fchlt sind.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">viel vergn\u00fcgen!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>it&#8217;s the first sunday of advent which means it is also\u00a0time to start baking cookies. and if you \u00a0resist eating them all at once,\u00a0you also have your first christmas presents.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"gallery","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[7,13],"tags":[131,109],"class_list":["post-5285","post","type-post","status-publish","format-gallery","hentry","category-recipes","category-winter","tag-lavender","tag-sweets","post_format-post-format-gallery"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"http:\/\/foodiesgarden.net\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/5285","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"http:\/\/foodiesgarden.net\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"http:\/\/foodiesgarden.net\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/foodiesgarden.net\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/4"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/foodiesgarden.net\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=5285"}],"version-history":[{"count":12,"href":"http:\/\/foodiesgarden.net\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/5285\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":5299,"href":"http:\/\/foodiesgarden.net\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/5285\/revisions\/5299"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"http:\/\/foodiesgarden.net\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=5285"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/foodiesgarden.net\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=5285"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/foodiesgarden.net\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=5285"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
