this describes this composition of turnips, aneth and italian sausages. the turnips already have a sweet and earthy flavor and the aneth somehow will even enhance this character.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>as cooking with turnips is still very new to me i am very thankful for this nice idea from <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dumont-buchverlag.de\/buch\/Nigel__Slater_Tender._Gemuese\/11371\" target=\"_blank\">nigel slaters cookbook tender<\/a><\/em>. and it is completely different from the other turnip recipes of my gardening and cooking repertoire and a welcomed addition to the <em><a href=\"http:\/\/foodiesgarden.net\/?p=1004\" target=\"_blank\">teltow turnips recipe<\/a> <\/em>from last summer.<\/p>\n<p>so if you want to enjoy something simple and down-to-earth go with this one. combine the turnips with hearty italian sausages. meet balls or some lamb would also be great.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/foodiesgarden.net\/wp-uploads\/2013\/07\/turnips1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3392\" alt=\"turnips1\" src=\"http:\/\/foodiesgarden.net\/wp-uploads\/2013\/07\/turnips1.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"645\" srcset=\"http:\/\/foodiesgarden.net\/wp-uploads\/2013\/07\/turnips1.jpg 700w, http:\/\/foodiesgarden.net\/wp-uploads\/2013\/07\/turnips1-300x276.jpg 300w, http:\/\/foodiesgarden.net\/wp-uploads\/2013\/07\/turnips1-325x300.jpg 325w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">500 g turnips<br \/>\n1 tbsp butter<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp sugar<br \/>\none splash of sherry<br \/>\npepper<br \/>\naneth<br \/>\nitalian sausages<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">peel the turnips and cut them into wedges. put the turnips together with the butter, sugar, sherry, pepper and some of the aneth (set some aneth aside for later decoration) in a pan, cover and simmer until the turnips turned soft. this will take about 15 minutes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">season to taste and sprinkle over the remaining aneth. grill the sausages and enjoy. best accompanied with a glass of strong wine like rioja or chainti classico reserva.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">********************<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">500 g r\u00fcben<br \/>\n1 el butter<br \/>\n1\/2 tl zucker<br \/>\nspritzer sherry<br \/>\npfeffer<br \/>\ndill<br \/>\nitalienische w\u00fcrstchen<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">die r\u00fcben sch\u00e4len und in viertel oder achtel schneiden. r\u00fcgen, butter, zucker, sherry, dill (etwas dill f\u00fcr sp\u00e4ter zur seite legen) in einen topf geben, abdecken und leicht k\u00f6cheln lassen bis die r\u00fcben weich sind. das dauert etwa 15 minuten.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">abschmecken und den restlichen dill dar\u00fcber geben. w\u00fcrstchen grillen und genie\u00dfen. ganz gro\u00dfartig passt dazu ein kr\u00e4ftiger wein, wie zum beispiel ein rioja oder chianti classico reserva.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>sweet, earthy, hearty &#8211;
